Down Payment Assistance (up to $20,000.00)
If you are considering purchasing your first home and are in need of down payment assistance, the City of Banning First Time Home Buyer Program may be able to help.

Only applicants with household incomes at or below 120% of Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible for the Down Payment Assistance Program.

Qualifying Criteria

·        Borrowers must be First-Time Home buyers
·        Must purchase a home within the City limits of Banning
·        Must purchase an existing single detached home
·        Must qualify for a first mortgage
·        Must meet income limits (can not exceed 120% of median   income).

Borrower Contribution

·       Contribute at least $1,000 towards the purchase price of the
         home
·       Complete a qualified Home buyer Education course
