Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)
RHDC is purchasing foreclosed single family homes and rehabilitating them for resale to low and moderate income families as owner-occupied affordable housing in partnership with the County of Riverside Economic Development Agency. RHDC is also working with the City of Moreno Valley and the City of Hemet on their multi-family NSP programs, to assist each agency in acquiring multi-family properties. RHDC then rehabilitates and rents these units to low and moderate income qualified families. RHDC is also working with the Cities of Lake Elsinore, Temecula, Menifee, San Jacinto, Banning, and Beaumont, to acquire, rehab, and sell single family homes in their communities.
To date RHDC has acquired and rehabilitated 32 single family units in these various areas. These 32 homes are in the process of being sold to qualified homebuyers. We are currently acquiring more properties to rehab and re-sell.
